- These
alphabet pages were all created by
five and six year old
kindergarten
students in Juneau, Alaska using
KidPix Studio Deluxe. When
you look at these pages you will see
"phonics based" or "temporary"
spelling. These are not misspelled
words. These are the kids showing us
what they know about words and how
they work, and are also their best
attempts to write down the sounds
that they hear in the words. Take a
close look and I believe that you
will be amazed, like I am, at what
they know. (If you find something
misspelled or a link that does not
