COURSE REQUEST Nights -- All students who missed their previously scheduled course request nights may also come on March 17. Student Recognition Luncheon today at 12:05 in the library. These students are being recognized this month at the luncheon, Stephanie Tripp, Juliana Lukshin, Leon Andree, Joe Hinman, Jacob Hope, Heather James, Wendy Byrnes, Jerrick Cudal, Rick Fassel, Blue Hamilton, Chariece Sarabia, Megan Wright. Thursday, March 18th - Alpine club meeting at lunch, pink slips due! Thursday, March 18th - Interact meeting in room 104 at lunch. Love basketball AND love video? Do both! Video Club is looking for students to man the video cameras during Gold Medal basketball. Watch the games from the Crow's Nest, eat scrumptious snacks, get in for free and get community service. Meeting this Friday, March 19th, Mr. Steele's Room 119 at lunch. All students welcome, no experience required. The Program Learning (Plato) Lab (Room 104) will be open on Monday through Thursday during Spring Break from 10 AM to 2 PM. If you need more time on your Program Learning/Plato course or if you just need assistance with homework or a school project, you're welcome to come. Snacks provided. Coop Students: March time sheets are due: Pick up training agreements and quarterly evaluations University of Alaska Night - we will have three Alaska University's ( UAA, UAF, and UAS) here at JDHS to talk about their programs on March 18 in the commons from 5:00- 6:30pm. Few people get to see real emergency room doctors in action, be with operating room staff during surgery or even watch a dentist performing a root canal. Alaska Native high school students from Southeast Alaska can experience these and other opportunities when they participate in the Ethel Lund Village Health Occupations Program (VHOP). This year's VHOP session is scheduled for April 19-23. The application deadline is Monday, March 22. Please stop by the Career Center for more information. The JDHS Music Department will be presenting our Spring into March concerts. choir and orchestra will be performing on Thursday, March 18 in the JDHS Auditorium at 7 pm. Come see your students in a totally different light, on stage. As always it is free to the public but donations are always welcome. There will be a variety of music offered with something for everyone. We hope to see you all there. Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons Local 867 will be recruiting for its 2010 apprenticeship classes until March 19. Local 867 has two apprenticeship programs, one for Plasterers and one for Cement Masons (or finishers). Please stop by the career center for more information. SENIORS - have you ordered your Cap, Gown and tassel yet? If you need information on ordering, please come to the Counseling Office. Seniors - Please come to the Counseling Office to verify spelling of your name for your diploma, and/or make changes and corrections are necessary. E3 students - Documentations due April 23rd, Presentations due April 28th. Any Senior wishing to obtain an E3 can get a documentation form in the Counseling Office.
