    I was born here, in Juneau, Alaska. I attended Gastineau Elementary, Marie Drake Middle School, and Juneau-Douglas High School, where I graduated in 1997. My high school activities included Student Council (ASB President in 1996-97 school year) Spring Musicals, Cheerleading and NHS. I attended college at Albertson College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho where my major was in history and my minor was in political sciences. While in College I participated in activities such as Intramural sports, Campus Ministries, and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. I graduated from Albertson in 2001.

    After graduation I joined the University of Alaska Southeast Master of Arts Teaching program. Then student taught at JDHS with Ms. Sara Hannan during the 2002-03 school year. During the 2003 - 04 I taught 8th Grade History at Floyd Dryden Middle School and 2004 - Present I teaching World and American History at JDHS

In 2003 married Greg Germain and had two daughters: Madeline and Dori.
