Travels and Adventures

I stayed in a place like this
once. Ask me about my
trip through Ireland; the
people are great!

Scotland has a gruesome
bloody history, but the
landscape and tartans are
beautiful.

One of my favorite places
to visit is England. Here is
Trafalgar Square, not to be
confused with the street
where I live.

Wales is a cool place to
drive around, although
reading the map aloud
is a challenge.

I've only been to Belgium
once, where I had a great
strawberry beer.

I love Paris! The museums,
cafes, and the Eiffel Tower
are my favorites.

I went to a great outdoor
Christmas festival in
Vienna years ago.

I need to spend more time in
Italy, especially Venice,
Rome, and the Mediterranean.

I haven't spent much time in
Germany, just a cruise down
the Rhine River and a visit to
Heidelberg Castle.

I love Canada, especially BC
and the Canadian Rockies.

I need to really go to Mexico
the right way. My only trips
to Mexico so far have been to
Nogalas.

It was far more valuable
to travel around St. Lucia
and see how the locals
live than to hold up in
the local Club Med.

I did my advanced diving
training on the Big Island.
These days, I usually stick to
snorkeling all day long in
shallow waters.

I earned my basic diving
certificate in Alaska. It was
snowing the day we did our
final dives in Seward!

When I was still in college,
I completed a month long
winter survival Outward
Bound course in the
White Mountains.

Ten years later, I tried
a summer course in
the NorthCascades.

One of the best hiking
trips I've done was with
REI Adventures. We
spent about twelve days
on the big island, and
another five days on Kauai.
We would tent for two
nights, and spend the
third night in a hotel.

It was a surreal experience
horseback riding up the
Kapua Gap of Haleakala
Volcano, then camping
in the caldera.

I lead a spring break hiking
trip in Shenandoah National
Park during spring break
one year.

Those were the places I've
been. These are some of
the places where I still want
to go.

Trekking in Nepal!

India (although I'm not
exactly sure where.)

New Zealand

Australia

Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail

Here is a QTVR of the Kennicott Glacier near McCarthy, Alaska. My dad and I went there in 1999.
